educated girls can contribute to family income, join knowledge based work force, boost economy and so on and so forth. their reluctance lies not in their education but the high cost of living and having kidsOriginally posted by Killer Tomatoes:The current shortage in production of babies is partly caused by girls unwilling to give birth.
females only have 5% less brain mass on average. Not enough to justify the denial of education.
girls shouldn't study at all
they are born to satisfy men
they are not born to compete with men
they should remain slaves to men and let us piak piak them

The reason why children need to take on the father's surname has already been discussed, and has nothing to do with rich or poor. It has more to do with the Y-chromosome in men.Originally posted by fymk:Should boys ,whose family are poorer than the girl's family, be taking the girl's surname?

Well I was pointing out the fact that the question of girls receiving education was an archaic one . In the old customs - if a boy is born into an "inferior" class family - he marries into the girl's family and take the girl's name. My question just refered to a more archaic tradition in response to the person who even dared questioned the value of education in girls.Originally posted by SnowFlag:The reason why children need to take on the father's surname has already been discussed, and has nothing to do with rich or poor.
