  Do you think US will actually intervene in a potential conflict between China and Taiwan?The US Army seems very stretched at this moment, caught between Iraq, Afghanistan and helping out in the Indian Ocean.Will a cross-straits exchange pull America in and do you support Taiwan's stance that she should be independent?
  
  Personally, I'm not too keen on PRC the way she is at the moment.She ha great potential to be a superpower, only if she chooses the smart move and not risk whatever progress made over the years on fighting Taiwan.Taiwan is by all means already seperate, less the formal declaration and recognition.Your views?

  I'm not too sure but I think the US has a "stop-the-war-before-it-reach-us" policy after the Pearl Harbour incident.
  
  Look at the war US fought at foreign lands since then.
  The Korean War, Vietnam war for instance.

  I do feel that China, if she could look far ahead over the Taiwan issue, would have power beyond imagination in future. All she would have to do is to play "goodboy" for awhile more.
