same director... oh my. no wonder. he actually took some ideas off the initial anime for his Legend of Speed movie. that must be initial D inspired as well. that shot where the camera panned in to the engine bay... as well as the light trails...

It was somebody else, but that somebody else didn't want to do it, so Andrew took his place. Andrew Lau also directed wu jian dao 1,2,3, coz close to 1/2 of his credited cast in this film made a mark in the wu jian dao trilogy.

it's so wrong...that the theme song is not in japanese...considering the series originally IS japanese. but it's not bad really. but jay chou doesn;t look like takumi...does anyone know who's acting the part of the takahashi brothers?
