third year is very siong! at least for the 2nd semester..( me mechanical engineering). Y siong?? becoz of final year project. siong is due to lazyness to do the project. must choose ur teammates correctly, otherwise u will have a hard time.
rem to get gf(s) before leaving school.
so that ur school fees are not wasted. my formula is=> 6 semester * school fees = dip + gf(s)

anyway life is the easiest if u are in Electonic/electrical engineering related course where things are more broader in scope and variety....cause u gurantee u never study the same things over and over again.Attachements only one or twice only throughout poly life.....
I heard NYP had the easiest life from my frens who were studying there...this was around a few years back.....dunno abt now..... -

Go there have to take photo right? For the student card. A dark coloured hair [dark brown in exact] and a little long hair can be tolerated or not? My hair not long, just the side burn and back a little longer. They wont be too strict bah??
Finally, need to take any money there mah? Arga how much? -
Tuition grant is the pink colour form.... tuition fee loan is the form that you need to complete if you want to loan money from DBS Bank.
On enrolment day, actual time is between 30 minutes to 2 hours? Then I must kiasu a bit go earlier... 'cause only took half day leave from work and I have to get from Dover to Tanah Merah by MRT before 1pm. -

After yr NS, When u come out to further studies at Uni or SIM/SMU ect...Its not the same again...Haiz the feeling is not there anymore, Been there done it already.......U have been to NS and seen life and the attitude inside just continues out.....B4 in poly u didnt have any worries as u did not know how hard yr life could get.....u didnt even think abt tit then,,,,
After U ORD and go for further tertiary, it suddenly grips u - the seriousness of life.....and u are never as cheerful as before...personal grooming/character analysis of yrsel takes a backseat.....but on advatage u will be able to anticipate things more accurately this time round..NS has honed yr instinctingtual capabilites. u may find yrself talking better with girls and handling people communications ect.......Those who adapted back to their old life again....good for them...... -

my own version for life in poly is similar to rock's
year1, duper blur sotong. guai guai attend all the tutorials and watever sh-t
first few weeks of poly, the whole class will go for lunch at the same foodcourt and sit together.
better go for orientation and make friends with ppl from diff classes and stage, useful when u didnt do reports etc.
2nd sem,,,slack liao.
year2, things start to get harder for u, the modules really get abit traumatising
year3, do FYP liao. i've gone thru this so i have some clear cut warnings.
1. look at the list of proj and supervisors. most will be teaching u now or before. choose those u really like, respect, love. dont choose those that u have moderate r/s with. they might become damn nasty and sarcastic to u.
2.grp mates, choose those equally smart, stupid, hardworking or slack ones. ppl who are generally willing to do work. bright teammates may not be the best choice.i have bright teammates but 1 has done stupid things like super heating alcohol in a pressurised chamber.
3. dont think a project shld be easy, clear cut etc. u will be terribly wrong. painfully wrong.
4. prepare to sacrifice loads of sleep and time for FYP. and hair too.
and in year3, u will be extremely pressed for time.

year 2, walk on hot stones
year 3, walk in hell
1 thing to note. yr O lvl scores are totally irrelevant in poly
u can be good in english ( at o lvls) yet can get D in language modules
A in chem phy, can get A to D in chem modules. and the chem modules are a far higher lvl and way diff context in poly. things u nvr knew or asked abt will be thought.
A in maths(possible exception) possible to get ave grades. -
Guys, I think Poly was harder last time compared to now.They had open book exams.
