Yeh... me was in the same situation... in secondary got Higher chinese no need to take in AO level liao but i still took in yr 1 then got A1 then got people say i sabo one less people's A1 liao... hahaha... then i yr 2 took again... sabo people again... i hate it when people tell me to do something when they r a nobody to me so i purposely took then got A1 again then all those A2 B3 people all tulan hahaha... then now i take AGAIN!!! HEHEHEEH!!!!!

wah.. finally i am relieved of the burden i haf.. can rest for 4 days before the next phy paper.. well shiok, u seems rather "tua kang"..u think ppl will believe that u got A1 for chinese n still retake? yah yah yah.. anyway, maths pp 2 is rather tough i find.. i did probability n also the qn9 on the company one.. GP i think compre harder.. compo alrite lah.. i did the choices one..
Shijie: i dropped econs the very day that i am supposed to take my first common test.. hahaha.. the paper is at 10am i think..i went to the office at 930am to hand in my withdrawal form.. felt so proud of myself! hahaha.. -

As for maths paper 2 today, I tot was ok. Maybe cuz I did mechanics, which less ppl overall will do.

aiya A level quite simple one lah. just employ the right strategy. so long as you do 10 yr series, there are enough easy questions in the papers to score A. will have hard ones sometimes but its no big deal. they can't kill. thats how i got thru the A levels at least. i had some natural ability for maths and physics, but my chem and bio were in the dumps. as for mcqs, about 3/4 or above are repeated questions or concepts so if you've done tys, mcq should get at least 85 percent. i must say, in my whole life, i have yet to pass a single biology test. my one and only A in bio came in the A levels, simply cos i was familiar with the tys, mcqs and had err, luck. i'm talking from an average person's point of view, not the star student pattern who can do everything. as for S papers, you got to be quite good to score distinction. again, there are enough not-that-hard-if-you-think-a-bit questions to let you score a decent merit. to get ungraded for S paper simply is a lack of technique in exam skill, cos most of those who are allowed to take S paper have the ability to pass them, they simply panicked or had poor time management. some students can handle stress in exams very well, some cannot. some don't need to because they can always answer the questions! in the S paper, it becomes quite interesting when some of those who normally don't need to handle stress face something out of the ordinary. so you see people with 4As and 2 ungraded S papers sometimes and you start wondering! sort of a sieving process for scholarships as well, they want people who can handle some stress first. and of course there are the nuts who get distinction for S paper and get a B or C for the same subject. finally, time management is very important. no point writing 20 pages for a 20 mark question and 2 pages for the next 20 mark question. you'll get more marks if its 10-10.
these little things in the exam matter a lot more than just studying. -

Foster is good too..but boring..and if u kena maggie goh (which i suay suay did)..then hell liao man...
econs was interesting at first..but after those curves thing come out then i sian liao...heehee~
a bit regret why i give up so easily..now a lotta things need econs knowledge...bery cham..always dun understand...

The phy paper was much harder than I expected. So many explanations needed, all qualitative, little quantitative answers.
Almost wrote part of a textbook already.
