My friend says he has a girlfriend
but when he lost his job
his girlfriend says 'if you can find someone, dont wait for me'
I ask him if she said that before or after he lost his job
he refused to say
We didn't finished the lunch together..
obviously, she told him that after he lost his job
He still blindly think got 'hope' ;-(
in my mind I am thinking 'fat hope'

The moral of the story is NOT TO GET MARRIED AND NOT TO HAVE KIDS.. Be prepared to be laid off and forced to take up crappy jobs around middle age.. And in one or two decades time, the population is going to age even more, and things will be worse than it is now..
Or you can choose to leave the island.. Which of course, requires your mobility.. Wife, kids, HDB loans etc will ensnare you.. So, to stay or to leave, individuals must think for themselves.. Just don't get married..
Because either one of the scenarios will happen:
1)Husband laid off, wife flees. Husband gets assraped in family courts during divorce proceedings and loses his children..
2)Husband laid off, wife stays to help, but can't do much herself.. The family gets depressed and starve.. May resort to crimes and vice.. Or mass suicide - whole family style..
Usually, (1) happens. But either way, you're still Fucked.. Forbidding to marry indeed.. Such are the times.. -
