One of the guys told me a sad story.. His friend, a 36yrs old guyÂ’s wife-to-be annuls the ROM.. His wife-to-be found out he has cancer but not fatal kind as it was at the early stage.. They found out during their agreed pre marriage checkup.. But need about 1-2 years of treatment..
His wife-to-be is 30 and is earning about 5K a month and he is earning about 12K.. They have been cohabiting for 2 years.. Both are staying in a condo he bought and solely paying for the condo.. She told the guy the reason was she was unable to take care of him when he is under treatment..
We were speculating that the main reason is that he will no longer be as well off, as his company knew about his illness and was ask to leave.. But his company paid him 6 months for every year and additional 3 months for good will.. He will be selling his condo too as he need money for the treatment and will not be able to maintain the condo.. We suspected that the wife-to-be realized he will face uncertain financial future but hey this guy is not poor enough to financially burden her as he has a couple of insurance and some 100 odd K in saving..
The sickening thing is that my female friends supported the wife-to-be.. The reason given was she is still young and is financial independent and should not be burden.. What about that guy? He is sick and jobless..
What happened to the love, commitment and the years together? SighÂ…. Is money really what matters? Up front I knew 3 liaoÂ… 1 is that guy's wife-to-be and 2 of my friends..
