me and my hubby married young, at 20.
we met when i was 16, together for few months, then broke up. 3 years later met each other again, then married few months later. Now, we've been married for almost 6 years, and still have so much fun together, even though we have 2 kids. we still joke and play with each other, like 6 years ago...
depends whether 2 really in love with each other, if you are, then nothing can break it. If you marry just for the sake of children or impulsive, then dun think it will last.
It takes a lot of determination, patience, communication, understanding and love to keep a marriage going strong......takes 2 hands to clap. -

As for marriage, I dunno, I kinda like it. Of cosh, Nobody can guarantee tt the marriage will be forever despite the best of efforts, but the marriage is a commitment to try? : )

Love that lasts a lifetime is all around, you just have to look a little closer. An example is the late Mr. and Mrs. Ong (the previous President and First Lady of Singapore). I believe that their love for each other was true and everlasting... Remember that he played "Yue liang dai biao wo de xin" on the piano on a TV show, dedicated to his wife? True love definitely exists, I'm starting to believe it now

Just to add on... my mum and dad marriage is arrange. My dad got to see my mum only on wedding night. They remain happy and raised 6 children. My dad passed away last year. On the other hand, my wife parent marriage is self arranged. They met, par tor and marriage. Though they are still living together, the hardly talk. Anyone open mouth is alway, waiting for a fight.
There is a big contrast in the above two marriages but it prove one point. Marriage is about two person living together blah blah blah... So it take two to make it work .... There must be communication. I am on my 21 years of marriage and I still love my wife very much though she did one time she mentioned about divorce but now she is making effort lor... It happen when I lost my job five years ago and I hardly talk to her after that.. I felt ashamed then. So there must be communication. I hope we can last another 21 years..... -

All these marriage things, sometime is like a man made occasion, just to make us got more things to do and not feel bored with life. Like my mum, staying on in marriage which i don really understand why! My dad gamble and gamble, go overseas, then come back ask for money! She still hanging to the marriage thru... seldom see those really loving couple. so rare... No love in the world. Love got meaning because human put meaning to it, if not its was nothing...

psychologists say that there are different types of love... when u and ur other half first get together, u may experience what they call passionate love.... after some time, u will progress into companionate love and that's what most married-for-a-long-time couples are feeling.... how long each type of love lasts probably depends on the unique individual...
of course, there are environmental factors which will come into play and whether a couple stays together depends on how they handle these factors
i feel that couples break up usually because they can't handle such environmental factors which give rise to conflicts and they feel that they have fallen out of love per se, not really because their love doesn't exist anymore...
oh, if u read up more, it's really quite interesting... there are some factors that are better predictors of who u will fall in love with etc, but these are statistics on average and doesn't necessarily apply to everyone.. -

If you believe that there's no point to marriage then there really isn't anything anyone can say to convince you otherwise.
I believe it's only when you meet someone you love and can envision a future with her, that you start to explore the possibility of marriage.
