  why are you equating friends to must see each other? friends stand by each other and not just go out to have fun. true you are losing time to him, but its only fair that he devotes some time to his girlfriend. i would never be upset if my best friend starts to treat his girlfriend better than me. to me its perfectly normal to treat a gf/bf better than your best friend.
  
  rest assured that when one of you is in depression or in some type of trouble. that friend of yours will be there to stand by you. if he doesn't than you can talk about him being a fairweather friend. but not when he has a gf.
