Fact is that first impression counts.
So what makes first impression?
1. Charm
2. Personal grooming. (wat u wear)
3. LOOKS
4. ur behaviour
5. How u potray urself.
Before u even get to show them any REAL work, ur attitude towards work / learning, your capabilities and even ur qualifications, that "first impression" can gain u 50 / 100 ler.
If you are backed by all this other stuff, chances are high u go all the way to the top. and of cos pass the interview with 100 marks.
There are many more examples. but this is a simpler version.
Example: If u are a blue collar worker, u wear clothes suited for ur profession.
or if u are someone's superior, u will always try to behave like one.
this just means that appearance counts a lot. looks is something that added to help appearances. ^^

as some one saidits not only women, it applkies for men too the better looking ones have it easier finding jobs/convincing pple/etc its a universal fact of society.

i feel that knowing where your strengths and position are more impt than just purely depend on looks. -
there was 1 report in the straitstimes about men's height.
it says that statistics shows that the taller you are the higher you earn. height contributes to good looks too.

My 2 cents worth is yes ugly people have it harder in life. A super chio can choose to become a maid but a super ugly cannot choose to become a model. But if you work hard and smart, options are still there for you and you can make it in life. -
