Labour Chief (Singapore Government?) said up to 10,000 jobs could be created if Singapore allows two resorts with Casinos at Marina Bay and Sentosa.
I guess, no Muslim will benefit (they are forbidden to take on jobs in Casinos) from the Casinos.
The jobs created will go to "Foreign Talents" and "Imported Labours". Good Luck to Singaporean! -

btw the muslim wont get the jobs is thier own problem seriously. i'm not anti-muslim or anything but if your religion is preventing you from getting the job(and i mean on your side and not that the pple do not choose you due to your religion), then its your and your religion's problem and not the government or some one elses fualt -
Directly, there may not be 10,000 jobs created for locals. But hey, just because you guys can't get the jobs... doesn't mean others shouldn't be allowed to take it. Come on, your religion forbids you to take it... And because you guys can't have it, you are restricting others from having it? -

If it is true, then the issue is most of the jobs created will go to Foreign Talents and Imported Labours.
Most of those unemployed 3.5% singaporean (bottom of the barrel so to speak) will not be suitable for the jobs created (too old, too young, not pretty, not handsome, not suitably educated, not educated...). -

What is the credibility of the Labour Chief that have 72800 people jobless and "insist" that Singapore does not have a "employment problem" ????
Try telling to all the jobless people about the "10000" jobs created.
Now they are having "TWO" casinos.
It was all quiet before MM Lee expressed his opinion on Singapore having Casino.
After MM Lee have spoken, suddenly there are so "many" MP and ministers coming out and openly supporting the casino issues despite the islandwide opposition.
So much for the people that we have voted or walk-over.

so much social costs at stake, but old lee come out and put his stamp of approval. Who dare to say No. Its a done deal the moment I hear it. All the rest are just wayang. It just means we will be giving more foreign people jobs only loh. But the 10K jobs is just to help them in election lah... But whether help locals or not don't matter, what matters is the GDP and such economic factors. These are the measures for justifying PAP existance and their salary increases. -

only cleaners, security guards are guaranteed for locals. not sure about the other positions. -
Why have a casino at Marina South? Will it cause jams even during the weekends? And worse, implementation of ERP at weekends?
Why can't the casino be located at woodlands checkpoint or second link? For what reason? Let you think about it.... -
Well casinos with resorts.... our muslims can still work in the resorts if casino is out of bound to them... just be rational... and btw whats with the sudden division (muslim and non muslim) of our nation about this topic of 10k jobs created?
