Well, if the pic isn't pornograhic in nature, then the law can't really help you. I remember the law states that the owner of the pic is the person who takes the pic, not the subject in the pic. So as long as the pic isn't of a pornographic or officially-sensitive nature, you can't call the cops down on him.
All you can do is get the mods to take action on that guy, which I imagine you already are. You have to realise though that as the other forummites have pointed out, even if the guy is banned, he can simply re-register under a new pseudonym and start all over again.
In my opinion, that guy needs a strong backhand slap across the face.... after all, everyone is entitled to his or her own privacy. Unfortunately, the long arm of the law can't provide that slap. So just hope for the best. -

if the server are set to log the ip of the person who post the pic.... maybe traceable. banning the forumite is one thing. Sorry, know by saying this doesn't help...but since the person has the picture, he can post it anywhere, not just in this forum. Hope you can get over this incident soon. cheers.

You could lodge a complaint with the moderators, but if the contents of that picture do not conflict with the guidelines laid down in the forum, then it is up to their discretion whether they would do as per your request.
Look at the pictures of girls in sggirls.com. Many girls are probably unaware that their pictures are being posted there and that their looks are being judged like some meat on the market. If they knew and lodged complaints, the moderators are probably going to have a field day deleting pictures from offensive posts to do anything else in the forums.
Once your picture is out on public domain, you lose all possible control and it is virtually impossible to prevent anyone who has downloaded it from uploading it somewhere else. You could consider litigation, but the case is weak considering you put your picture in public domain in the first place. Hence the best way to deal with it is to ignore such threads. Don't be too bothered by others' opinions: their tongues belong to them, you can't stop them from saying whatever they like, and if you get emotional over what they say, you are just playing into their trap and doing exactly what they want -- giving their comments undue dignity with your attention.
And look at it in a positive light -- many celebrities get that kind of crap as well. When people are interested in your photo, that's probably because you are a minor celebrity in their eyes.

they dun mention my name in there, but they are using my pic in the wrong way. Say all sorts of things that I would never say towards my own pic. i know it is not a nude pic or anything, but still i feel it is disrespectful to put it up there without my permission.
