Who is against fare hikes increase?

Walking or cycling would be better and cheaper liao lah... somemore still can be treated as excercise for those wanting to slim down.
The government want more people to use public transport but look at what they are doing by allowing SMRT and ComfortDelgro to keep increasing the price of public transport, maybe one day taking public transport and having a private car would cost about the same, but most probably they will increase the COE, so LL public transport would seem to be a cheaper mode of transport.
Next time 10-20 years down the road, maybe a ride on the bus would have a basic fare of what a bowl of mee at the food centre costs us now. -

They treat fare-increasing as something when they see fit of doing it, they'll do it and they'll get it....

Something I thought is a flaw with the formula increase: If our economy does not meet another financial crisis, normal logic dictates that the economy will improve every year. So does that our fares will increase indefinitely to keep pace with the growth in economy?
Imagine the days of a bus fare rising to $5 and similarly to MRT fares.....w00t!

They say high operational cost, is it really high, only themselves know. And lucky draw for free ride, they have money for organised lucky draw but no money for high oil price. Lying again. The money all going to the bosses pocket and not going to the operational cost. Less buses going around the city, and still high cost. Next time, what excuse will they give? we will wait and see. I go out less often since they increase price.
