Me used to be predominantly Chinese-speaking, can write in both Chinese and English....
Now, because of the surroundings around me, I'm slowly changing to English speaking and English writing. I can still speak Chinese but sometimes my tongue seems to be twisting itself....

It depends on the crowd i am with. But i personally prefer speaking chinese.
And I despise Chinese who don't speak their own language. Don't speak is still fine actually. But those who look down on their own language... really get turn off by those people. -
O levels - A1 in English, C6 in Chinese.
I can understand Chinese, but only speak it a little. Then again, I'm only half Chinese anyway. -

no actually mostly in chinese, only those sibuei blur nonsense then in english, but i can't think of any example now -

Starting seems to be like that: I, (name), (nric no.) ... people rattle out their nric no. in English, I spoke it in Mandarin. -

if every american or EU national in china is proficient in mandarin, it would be fair to expect chinese to be proficient in english
being pro-english or pro-US is not prerequisite to being a superpower
