According to the Constitution, the President acts as a Head-of-State role. He doesn't have far reaching powers with whatever the Prime Minister and Cabinet comes up with. He does not veto powers over them, except (I think)bills concerning the national reserves. Therefore, it is none of His Excellency's fault if the Cabinet happen to decide on something controversial. My mother's friend is Mr Wee's niece. His daughter is a gynaecologist with a practice in my estate.
