Theres a pork porridge stall at waterloo market, tell uncle you want "the works", pork + pork liver + century egg + egg. Cost should be under $5.

Tiong Bahru pig intestine porridge sells for $4, very watery, still got a lot of people patronise incl me.
For $3 go to Amoy Food Ctr. u can get good liver, pig intestine + pork
porridge. Add another $3 for yusheng. Very good, highly recommended. -
I recently paid $5 for porridge at a coffeeshop in the basement of people's park shopping centre. Large bowl with generous servings of fried intestine, pork, sliced fish, liver, cuttlefish. Deelicious. Can feed 2 persons with smaller appetites!!

We should all learn from shade343's example.
In this present climate of rising living costs and lower salaries, we should all adjust to the changes and be as cheapskate as possible.
One of the changes I've made is ceasing all donations to charitable causes. I don't even give a single cent to flag sellers anymore.
Maybe I should give the bargaining at hawker centres thing a try and drink leftover coffee from the tables before they are cleared away! -

There was one time I want to eat Oh luak and I went to ask the stallholder whether her Oyster were big sized or not. SHe replied" If you not happy you go buy elsewhere lor". So I just walk over to the other oh luak stall facing her stall and place an order. And to make her black faced, I waved my $5 at her face before paying the other hawker. -

In 10 years time, prices start increasing. That time macdonald Large fries cost $1.70 now it cost $2.50. That time EVM cost only $3.70...then they secretly increase to $4 than $4.50...than 1 year later they increase to $5. Fuck Mac and their unhealthy foods. -
