How you feel about singapore nurses?

As topic, i felt that singapore nurses were so uncaring compared to country like japan or US.
Singapore nurses was mainly focus on procedures rather than psychologically.
Althought a patient seems to recover physically, but he had rather unahppy stay in hospital most of the time. Is it true?

I was a driver in army. Got send Medic with patient to hospital and got see nurse tok rude to the medic. The medic told me dat the nurses are always rude to SAF pple

they really need to do something about the uniform. it's boring.

our nurses are ok. it is the singaporean patients that have problems.

Well, all types of people exist in every profession, not only in nursing. There are nurses who give the profession a bad name and loathe their job but there are others who genuinely care for and want to help the patients.

When I was warded, I found that many nurses here are not Singaporean leh. Aussie, Kiwi, Pinay, Malaysian, China MeiMei.....but very few Singaporean.
The only Singaporean was that stupid head of ward (I think its a Catholic sister) who always made special effort to check if I was smoking in the toilet. I told her I'll blow the smoke out so that the other patients won't die early, but she didn't agree. Basket, even pai-kar also must walk all the way out of the hospital gate to have a fag.
In fact, that day I went for the NKF health check (blood sugar, cholesterol, urine check, BMI, etc etc). There were many stations....and at most of the stations, the staff-in-charge were foreigners (China, Philippino, etc.). I only went to one station which had Singaporean staff. -
a lot are China and Philippino got burma one also.

Talking about bad nurses... ask those of your parents' generation, esp those in KK hospital.
Some of my close relatives told me that when she gave birth during the 70s (that's when the govt told us "2 children is enough" ), the nurses would curse at those women giving birth. They would say horrible things like "You cry pain now? Have sex that time, why you don't cry pain?" or "Govt say don't give birth. You all still give birth"
Now? They treat all the patients like princes and princesses. I was given 1st class service in SGH when I had my appendix removed!!! -
