The only maths I know is at the beginning of every month, checking if my salary is credited into my bank a/c correctly...with all the offs, MCs, CPF...etc. -

Working too long, I lazy to type:
1/((L*s +R)*(g/d - s)) = a/(Ls + R) + b/(g/d - s)
where a = L/(Lg + dR) and b = 1/(Lg + dR)
Simply just assume the final form and work backwards to find a and b in terms of the others.
The second question needs time. Too many constants.... -
