my dad always comes into my room early in the morning when i am still sleeping and stroke my hair. call my name suddenly.. kaoz... people sleeping suddenly feel hand stroking the hair and a guy's voice very near me is very scary de you know.. always tell him not to come into my room anyhow he dun listen.. wth.... gals, your dad got do that not???

Nope, my dad never do that. Only my mum come into her room to wake her up. My dad usually see us in the morning, will say " So late haven go for work huh??"

i am sure most parents missed those days when they carry and hug their children. as you grow older you drift away. when was the last time you gave your parents a bear hug?

On the surface, the action does seem weird. Have you actually spoken to him about WHY he did it? If he cannot give you a credible reason, I'd advice locking the door.
On the other hand, I do agree that parents and children are not intimate anymore. Sometimes it's because of our culture and other time it is a personal preference.
My older son has never hugged me before, while my younger son hugs me ALL the time, before he sleeps, before he goes to school, before me leaving for a business trip. I will never ever discourage that, no matter how big he becomes, 'cos I cherish those moments. Here's not to say my older son has no emotion, it's just that he has chosen a different way to show them, like volunteering to do housework for me and taking good care of his younger brother. -
