I have a million things i want to say....

There's a million and one things in my mind i want to say, but i can't find the right audience.
I have a lot of friends whom i know, but can't share things with. People bond through hardship, does that means i do not really have friends?
There's a heavy burden on me which i wish i could share with someone but i can't because i'm the cause of it. -

There are a lot of things around that you wished people would notice and maybe lend a helping hand, help a blind man cross the road, help the old grandma with heavy marketing items up the flight of stairs...and then there are times where you just feel that no human effort could improve or help with the situation and you look up to ask for help. But you've probably already realised that not all prayers are answered...you try to reason with yourself why certain things are happening, past accumulated bad karma, an accident waiting to happen because of certain actions or no-actions. And when you've taken the time to pick the perfect response, you give up.
But what if, what you are going to give up on is another human...would you want him to end his suffering and leave or would you want him to stay on and fight agonisingly...i hope the people around him would want him to stay and fight...just like i would.
Humans thrive on hope..get better education hoping to secure better job in the future, buying lottery hoping to get rich instantly, go on dates hoping to get hitched.
When all hope is lost, you would have thorughly lost everything...Life as it is, is hard enough, and when you lose hope, you lose the will to live or carry on living...
There's not much people can do to help if he doesn't or maybe couldn't, help himself. All we can do is rally support and hope that he gets thru. -
Do you think that up-bringing is really important for a kid.
Meaning, does it make a child who he was. If he was brought up poor, he'll forever be chasing money. If he's brought up well-to-do, he's chasing chic gals. If he's brought up very well off, he's chasing dreams. I don't know what to think of this. But SOME people has bucked the trend. they had made it all work by themselves.
Hardwork does pay off. Or does it? -

I'm sure you've had heard ppl always comment that army personnel are a bunch of lazy bummers. Only lazy, people with no ambition, not educated and what have you sign on with the army. I'm not going to try to deny any of the above, in fact, i agree and testify, to a certain extent, the truth that can be found in that statement cause there are bound to be black sheeps in every occupation, i.e. Bishops with sex scandals, Presidents' and prime ministers with sex scandals, infidelity among royalties, Major crimes, rapes and drug abuse, committed by sports/superstars who are idolised by millions. I think i've made my point.
You could argue that these are isolated cases, but why can't you do the same for people who carve out a career in the army? People who literally bleed and sweat to earn their pay, how many jobs out there can say the same thing? (no offence to the coustruction/building industry or foreign labours and any other whom i missed out) Though i won't be able to say that the majority of the army personnels are there because of patriotism or honour, but at least 20% of them fall into that category, the rest are just there to earn their keep. But i'm quite positively sure that in times of needs, most, if not ALL of them will be there to do their job, during the tsunami, 1 Coy of SAF personnel was activated to indonesia for manpower assistance. While the rest of us just scurry away to our safe haven in foreign lands, these people, whether they like it or not, are out there. That's called professionalism. -

But without hope, people cannot see what they would get by putting in effort. I could work towrads nothing for a decade without any outcome. but such a life would be meaningless. I know where my problems are and what needs to be done. Just that i dont have the courage or discipline to see it thru.
