Maybe if we aren't conscripted, singaporeans might think it's cool to serve the country as a soldier...but the IDF (Israel Defence Force) doesn't seem to have this problem. Their conscript is inclusive of females as well. Could this be a factor? Anyway i know the topics a bit dry, but thanx for trying to accomodate me...esp danis and bratpig.
I was just saying what i felt was relevant to me when i was going thru the phase. The army as a career part and child up-bringing was when i was younger and 1 of my gf's father who happens to be a succesful bizman (rich)commented that only lazy people sign on....cause i was contemplating on taking up a scholarship then. Which they would never understand why would anyone want to take a bond, they pay is low, no recognition....blah blah blah...cause they've never lackind anything in the first place. -

the way i see your post is that.. you keep revolving around your problems by going in circles.. you keep thinking about them.. telling other people that your depressed because of it.. thus making yourself more depressed. you say that you wanna share it with people but you just dont.. and to break free of that circle of depression.. you have to be able to speak up.. so if you want help.. list your problems and expect people to reply with their advice.. like i would to help you the best that i can.

I didn't really say i'm depressed because of certain problems. The comments i've made are some thoughts that i had when i came across the situations. And it's all real situations. The main problems, i have yet to solve, i really do no not want to disclose and i thank you for your concern. I'm just having that feeling that i have a lot to say....like when you know some secrets but you just can't tell anyone about it. -

Living in the opposite way will lead to clinical depression. And will have to be treated with medication then....
I do talk to a few close friends, but i'm sure you don't tell everything to you close friends too right? -
yup.. i get what you mean.. i dont encounter these experiences anymore because i have decided i do not want to let the problems take over my life and burden me.. therefore.. i have learnt to accept life.. and take things as they are.. that applies to me in most problems only.. i have not yet encountered a problem that makes me extremely depressed yet.. hopefully that never happens
