The PAST matters but let what's past/passed remains in the PAST.
To a certain extent, once this question has creeped up in your mind, your focus has already shifted from the NOW, or has it?

Well, I guess the past doesn't really matter to me now, I am enjoying the present because it is now more brilliant than ever
As to whether a person can really change or not, I guess time will tell -
that's wonderful!

i was once afraid of the future because it seems so bleak and meaningless, and I do not know what I want.
