Hi Hell, well done for organising gigs. We need more people like you all to organise gigs. In the past we only get to play in gigs organised by Awakening and Rockstar Collective (they are great!) but to see more and more independence in the local bands is great. You are right, at least you are doing something abt it better than some other bands or audiences who whined abt the standards of our local bands but did nothing.

PS: One thing though.... Vacant Affair become METAL liao ah? All along i tot they emo one..... they are my frens anyway.... and yes like you, i hate EMO. haha -

actually the local scene is quite alive nowadays, alot of DIY gigs happening, but too bad the local crowd is hard to please. ive seen (and played) in gigs where the whole audience just sits there and claps politely after every song, but when the next band comes on the moshpit is totally filled! 
as for the bands, my bassist is the one who got them, in fact you can say my bassist is running the whole show, manpower, logistics, security...really feel bad sometimes heh heh...maybe diff genres=something for everyone? this gig got all the -core playing, hardcore, emocore, metalcore etc etc, but the hardcore kids are the WORST. damn violent!
so i guess i will be seeing you there to support your friends!
btw u still play? i'm a drummer. -

but the moshpit will tend to get crazy...esp during 7 pound vein's set...

The review surprises me a little, i didn't know ppl do covers of sepultura and gasp! killswitch, i love killswitch! It's a little disappointing also for me, i think the bands are too hardcore for me by the sounds of it.

not soft, more "varied" in a sense whereby some of the bands sound...unique? hard to actually classify them...have to listen to know...and one of the bands playing, Strayvoice, actually got a record label with a US label!
