I have these incident in recent months, while I at home...
normal people come knocking on doors asking for $ ...
Incident 1: 2 days ago, a chinese man. In his 20s, says he lives in Seng Kang. Lost his wallet & his mother is now sick at home. He need to rush back in taxi to takecare of his mother. Asking for $10. I told him off. Go to the police if wallet lost, Police will also sent you back home if you don't have the $. I ask him to "Go away." .... somemore can tell me back "You not friendly at all."
Incident 2: Happened last month. Indian Man, in his 20s. Says he lives in woodland with his auntie. Says he just came out of prison had no $ & auntie now sick. He ask for $10 or $20 for taking his auntie to the doctor. I ask him go away there is no $ to be given.
Incident 3: Happened sometime back, can't remember. I was walking on the street near my house. Indian Man, 30s. Approached me, say he visit his auntie to borrow $. But did not get any. Asking $ to take "TAXI" back home. Asking for $10. I told him to "Go to the Police."
See something similar? What's happening to Singapore? How do you people react to these? Is this very common nowsaday? -

I have Parcel every month. Always expecting Postman. Else postman leave a stupid note then I have to make that trip to collect my parcel next day. -

kanna this kinda shit b4. A lady came up to me askiing money from me in bugis.She told me she was from Msia and needed money.She told me she will return to me.I juz gave her a smile and walk off . Well guess wat , few weeks later , i was walking Outram .I saw her there again asking money from other people.I dun understand why got hands and legs dun wanna work , wanna ask money from people.

Another Incidents....
Happened at Red Hill Bus interchange. 1 malay old man, at least 60s. Showing his Transit link card. Asking people that he have no $ in the Transit Link Card to go home. Asking for $10 to top-up his card. Once he got $10, thanks that person then walks away. 2mins later, his shows it's up again.
I think he earns much better .... 10 people gave him $10 everyday is a neat sum of $3000 a month. No need to work for 8hr a day. Tax free somemore. Better income then working. Still no need to put-up dress & makeup like a beggar. -

Seems that "begging" for money is more rampant than we think. We don't realise how much it happens because it happens mainly to senior citizens.
My old parents have gotten so many people approaching them asking for money - usually small amounts (eg. $2). These beggars can be local or foreigner (usually from China)....and can have a variety of ages (from local kids in school uniforms, to old folks sitting around at bus-stops). -
soon u'll see network begging. MLM style.
