SHAWS ORGANISATION! - MOVIES BEWARE!

Talk about 'business ethnics'...
As almost everyone would know, the price of movie ticket has gone up lately... And YET, every now and then you'll have to be CAREFUL so as to not waste your dollar on some USELESS / MEANINGLESS movies...
As such, I've came to notice quite ALOT of MISLEADING advert lines which Shaws Organisations has been using for some of their LOUSY MOVIES....
1st example is 'The Thing'. Where they'll tell you is produced by Spiderman and such good movies' producers or something like that... When the movie is ACTUALLY A VERY OLD FILM... With REAL SUCKY OLD 'GRAPHIC' and TECHNIQUE for bringing out the 'monster' (or whatever you'll call that)....
2nd example is 'Inside DeepThroat'. A RA 21 show. The advert tells you about a film that have been a GREAT HIT in the WEST. NOT this show you're gonna be watching though? This movie is actually a documentary which tells you ABOUT the movie which had been a GREAT HIT.... And throughout the show, it's mainly people talking, talking and talking... Just like a DOCUMENTARY... PERSONALLY, I'm FINE with such DOCUMENTARY... I just find it NOT WORTHY at all to pay for that sum to watch on the BIG SCREEN. And to note. MANY PEOPLE LEFT the cinema WAY BEFORE the show is anywhere near to its near...
WHAT I AM DOING HERE:
I just wanna ALERT forumites and readers of such a 'conspiracy' being EXPOITED here. I think it's already not much of a reason for them to increase the movie price, let alone to use such 'gimmicks' to CHEAT of the PATRONS' TRUST for them.
I say if you wanna SPOIL YOUR REPUTATION, I'll GIVE YOU A HAND HERE. -

usually i look at the previews or reviews first for less well-known movies..

i was watching a show at one time wif my gf
the poster had some exciting graphics, i think the movie name is " the man who wasnt there"
from the sub lines, it seems like some conspiracy theory n murder plot
5mins into the show i tot i was in the wrong theatre, the movie was like made in the 60s, i think it was b/w or some dull colors
15mins later, pple were leaving, end up left me n gf n another old ang moh couple
my gf fell asleep, i was tryin to appreciate from the artistic or retro pov, but i cannot tong, i left ard 1 hr later, tink the ang moh couple appreciate the show though -
shouldn't care about previews.. ratings and all that shit.. just see the poster.. the title of the movie.. if you think u like it.. then u do.. go for it.. if u think you dont like it.. then dont watch it because chances are you wont like it.. if u wanna know more.. then read the synopsis of the movies

This is the first time ever i walk out of the show which proved how bad was it. I felt i was cheated of my money...
Might as well i saved the money go back home watch 'Discovery Channel, National Geographic etc' or watch Jap AV porno. Who want to spend $7 on watching boring documentary show in the cinema? -
Tsktsk.. horrible.. exploit us consumers this way.. thx Devil for highlighting this scam to us..

I'm OK if I paid for a lousy show which doesn't suit my taste. But here, they're trying to create a FALSE IMAGE.. Selling you some thing which you THINK IT IS, but actually it's NOT.
I'm OK with the fact that I've chosen the movie and paid for them. I watched the 1st movie like I was watching an old classic, and the 2nd one like a documentary... From the start till the end. And yes, it was my choice.
But it's simply TOO OBVIOUS that it's a SCAM to CHEAT on PATRON'S MONEY. People were walking out disappointed (too many 'typical spoilt Singaporeans to be listed here) and I've came to realised this is not just a 'one or two times' thing.
Why just sit back and do nothing about it when you know more people could be victims? -

Well time will tell. If say 3 - 5 yrs down the road the company still exist it may seem their reputation is not really smeared indeed. In fact it is enjoying a good run cuz it can earn money for so many years hahahhaa..... -
