Anyway, the airport custom is a lot more careful. Whenever I go overseas, the custom will tell me to smile just to be sure I am the person in the passport photo (my passport photo got smile one). -

SINGAPORE : Took Leng How, 23, will stand trial for the murder of eight-year-old girl Huang Na next month.
The case was committed for a three-week trial after a preliminary inquiry at the high court on Tuesday.
Took is accused of killing Huang Na at the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre last October.
Her body was found stuffed in a box at Telok Blangah Hill.
When hearing starts on July 11, some 75 witnesses are expected to take the stand.
Among them are police officers as well as 16 current and former stallholders of the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre, where Took worked.
He appeared healthy and smiled frequently as he sat in the dock.
His parents and a family friend also turned up to watch the proceedings.
They arrived from Penang on Monday night, and will return later this evening after a meeting with the defence lawyers.
Took's wife was not present as she had to look after their child.
His father Took Long Lai said, "His son is still young, two years old. I hope Singaporeans can help him, he's not a bad person, I don't believe he did this."
Said TookÂ’s lawyer Subhas Anandan, "I think it's going to be a tough case, but we're going to do the best we can. We are not at liberty to say what our defence is. We have certain things to go on and we'll be expanding and exploring further possibilities of our defence."

Also the very fact that he ran into Malaysia is not doing him any good, regardless of what he claimed (the police tortured him until he got frightened etc).
Whatever he told his family about him being innocent is also useless. He cannot use this as evidence.
Moreover, what the prosecutors gathered has been a disadvantage to him. Witnesses saw him talking to her on the night she was missing. But nobody saw her walking away from him after they talked (He claimed that he only told her to go home and gave her two mangoes).

1) Who's real murderer
2) Evidence of him being just a disposal (ie. how the real murderer instruct him to do it? any paper note, voicemail, email to prove it)
Even then, he will get life sentence at least for doing it for the murderer.
As long as he could provide the murderer's name, the Sg police will straightaway arrest the other fella. Then it will be the other fella's turn to prove innocence. -
This is really a tough case for the defence lawyer. I would say 99.9% lose. He will only win if he can find that 0.1%. I found Huang Na's mother suspicious right from the beginning(before the details from her past showed up). She very obviously lied about her age!

She was arrested for immigration offences. THe same goes for her first husband. But really.... I don't think her past offence is good enough to make her a suspect. What she did was not harming anybody, unlike her 2nd husband.

Trial of Took Leng How, accused of murdering Huang Na, opens
SINGAPORE : The trial of Took Leng How, charged with the murder of 8-year-old Huang Na, opened at the Supreme Court on Monday.
After months of investigations, details are now emerging about how the girl was murdered.
The 22-year-old accused faces the death penalty if he is convicted.
The prosecutors will attempt to paint Took Leng How as a cold-blooded killer who took no chances.
In their opening statement, the prosecutors said Took lured Huang Na to the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre on 10 October 2004, sexually assaulted her and then smothered her to death with his bare hands.
The prosecutors added that Took stamped and kicked the victim to make sure she was dead.
They will also introduce evidence that Took had tied up Huang Na's body, sealed it in nine layers of plastic bags and dumped the body down a slope at Telok Blangah Hill Park.
Huang Na's disappearance sparked a nationwide search.
It wasn't until three weeks later that Took himself led police investigators to the body.
Took had assisted police on numerous occasions with their investigations, even agreeing to undergo a lie-detector test. But he was never treated as a suspect or arrested because of the lack of evidence.
On 21 October 2004, Took gave Police officers the slip hours before his polygraph test. He had escaped to Malaysia through the Woodlands Checkpoint.
Took was arrested by the Royal Malaysian Police and brought back to Singapore on 30 October 2004.
Took was relaxed and calm when he was brought into the packed courtroom.
He was seen smiling and waving to his father who was present at the public viewing gallery.
The case has not only generated immense media attention but from the public as well, some of whom showed up at the Supreme Court hours before the trial began.
The prosecution has started introducing forensic evidence, linking Took and the victim to the crime scene.
76 witnesses are expected to testify in this trial, including the victim's mother Huang Shuying.
