anyone on death roll has to wait for at least a year in jail.Originally posted by Dr Who:It takes TIME to hang a murderer.
A case takes months before a hearing in the High Court.
Singapore is not a banana republic which can execute a man overnight.....
Have patience man.......Let the murderer suffer in jail......mental agony......because death by the noose is too cheap.......and painless
Yes, that is true. Capital punishment should be abolished at all costs. Also, if AH Hao is innocent but gets to hang because of an error by the court system and evidence 10 years later shows he was never the real killer, it will be such a shame.Originally posted by Dr Who:Have patience man.......Let the murderer suffer in jail......mental agony......because death by the noose is too cheap.......and painless
Yes... But I think you have not been noticing, SDP have not been talking much abt bread and butter issue...Originally posted by iveco:Yes, that is true. The General Election is coming, and SDP through its chief Dr Chee Soon Juan has disavowed capital punishment, as can be seen from Dr Chee's presence at a symposium on this issue recently. Please vote for them in areas they are contesting.
If they develop and maintain a connection to all walks of life, including the bread and butter issues, they will have a higher chance of getting into Parliament, where it is easier carry on their liberal issues.Originally posted by sbst275:Yes... In any case, I won't cast my vote for the PAP no matter what kind of "treats" they dangle for me. Give me the slipper gang in my district and I will still indicate my preference for them.Originally posted by sbst275:Yes... Are you willing to hedge everything that Ah Hao is guilty? Even if my own daughter was murdered and the suspect was cleared of any involvement 10 years after his execution, I will still feel sorry for him and his family. Miscarriages of justice are worse than the actual crime itself. Anyway, Huang Na's mother herself seems a bit suspicious.Originally posted by dragg:if someone murder your daughter all you want is a jail term for him?
yeah the best thing is the victim doesn't have room for reprieve for the injustice done to him.Originally posted by iveco:Are you willing to hedge everything that Ah Hao is guilty? How sure are you that he is guilty in the first place? Anyway, it never occurred to me that he was a paedo.Originally posted by Honeybunz:Molest or even attempted rape the small girl
Small girl struggle.
He panicked. So killed her.
His neighbours told the media and police that Took is quite hum sup one.
progene asked what his motive was if he were guilty. So I was responding to that question.Originally posted by SBS9611D:How sure are you that he is guilty in the first place? Anyway, it never occurred to me that he was a paedo.![]()
I think when he went to JB, he was still not the suspect yet. That's why the custom didn't stop him.Originally posted by t_a_s:tap n go is in JB custom, but not in woodlands custom. Til now they dare not announce how he cross the custom
But his passport was impounded. If he was in the clear, I see no reason for the police to do that.Originally posted by Honeybunz:I think when he went to JB, he was still not the suspect yet. That's why the custom didn't stop him.
Impounded? Ok. Didn't recall correctly.Originally posted by iveco:But his passport was impounded. If he was in the clear, I see no reason for the police to do that.![]()
