I think what you are referring to is futures trading. That one only requires you have a certain margin to maintain while trading. correct me if i m worong, but one thing gd is that once a share is bought, settlement is immediate (or over a few days), and after that, u can hold on to the share for as long as u want... i believe there is another kind that would require a buyer to keep pumping in money...
