what are the things you cannot stand in Singapore?

1. The people. Indifferent, kiasu, kiasee, selfish, greedy, no compassion for the fellow man.
2. The government. Enough debate about the MIW in these forums already.
3. Weather.
4. Lower pay to living cost ratio than other developed countries.
5. Nowhere to go on weekends unless willing to hop over the causeway. Otherwise, it's shopping centres again.
6. Everything is fake - fake beaches, fake parks, housing, false sense of security, people are fake too.
7. Customer service is terrible. Little to no consumer rights.
8. Reservist. Very annoying when doing a major project at work and get interrupted to crawl in mud and do childish things in the jungle.
That's why I left. Never looked back!
The only good thing about keeping the Singapore citizenship is the NSS/ESS shares every couple of years. -

Cannot stand GLC-controlled Singapore broadband ISPs.
Here I'm charged $47.25/mth for a measly ASYNC 512kbps and
$58/mth for 1.5Mbps.
In HK, 10 Mbps SYNC HK Broadband costs S$31/mth.
100Mbps SYNC HK Broadband S$57/mth.
Feel kanna ripped off by GLCs.

singapore looks brand spanking new from the outside but the core is fairly traditional/ conservative. singaporeans are status conscious, lack compassion, judgemental and uptight.

1) The damn freaking stupid WEATHER. It is so freaking hot here, when i walk abit, i sweat like hell!
2) The stupid KIASU singaporeans. They cannot let people alight from trains before boarding. They must shove their way in, as if their stupid asses will die without a seat. ESPECIALLY Aunties and old Ah Peks and Ah Mas. Also, when the bus arrives, all boarding people will RUSH to the door b4 the bus even stops. Utterly DISGUSTING. And queue cutting. It happens everywhere. -
1) Singlish! Esp when it's on radio. Everytime when the deejay speaks, I change channels to listen to music, count 60 secs then switch it back for music.
I switch off the TV whenever local drama appears and change channels when local actor/actress speaks on Ch 5.
2) I hate it when hawker centers and even fast food outlets assume that you want chilli with anything u order. (I don't take chilli and never will!) -

3) The People. They're unfriendly and don't smile very much. Singaporeans seem to be perpetually grumpy.
4) Singlish. You may say that it's what makes you Singporean but the fact is, it's not very pleasant to the ears. Neither does it make a good impression on foreigners who think we sound like donkeys. "Meh", "hor" and "leh"...
However, for people who complain about the high cost of living in Singapore, try living in Australia or Europe. -
1. pple who attribute every fault to e govt w/o first considering the stability back in our homeland...
2. pple who complain that COST of living is high in s'pore... (well, i wonder if these are the pple who indulge in luxury goods... and i m specifically targeting my comments at these pple...)
3. parents who complain abt every little thing abt school and the teachers w/o first behaving responsibly by educating their children... (i m sick n tired of parents who over-indulge in their kids...)
4. we only have mediacorp running our local prog...
5. sales assistants offering exemplary customer svc to non-locals... (and only non-locals... specifically, westerners...)
