Gen-X: A term for the disenfranchised, post babyboom group born between 1965 and 1980, and as portrayed in the '94 hit Reality Bites.
Grunge: Distorted guitars and growling vocals - mainly made up of Seattle bands such as Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney etc.
Macarena: This hit, complete with it's own dance, was written and performed by the Spanish duo Los Del Rio. Luckily, this craze is now over
Baby Doll Dresses: Rocker chicks like Courtney Love & Kat Bjelland of Babes In Toyland commonly sported this sweet yet skanky look.
Cigar Smoking: This politically incorrect fad began in the mid-'90s and gave men AND women a feeling of status.
Coffee Houses: Starting in Seattle with Starbucks, it was made popular as "Friends" main meeting grounds, Central Perk (get it, grounds?)_P.jpg)
Prozac: It started as a treatment for depression and ended up a fashion accessory for Generation X.
Natalie Portman Haircut for gals: This hair cut was the rage among teen gals from the early to mid 1990s. Short and sloping at the sides
The Wonderbra: Created in 1994, this miracle contraption has been lauded for its ability to "lift and separate." -
