Are lecturers considered elites?

Depends...some can be considered elites within their own field due to the research that they do in their field. Take Einstein for example...he was a lecturer, and definitely pass the elite level. But as for snobbish, "high-class" elites, noe...i don't think so.

not all lecturers are elite lah... Now, as long as you have a masters, you can teach in poly...Are they considered elites? i dunno lah..some yes, some no...
but if you are refering to those old old aunties and uncle lecturers with the title Prof or A/P, maybe they are good, experienced, but not all elites...if so, y no nobel prize winner here?

I lecture sociology n biology...I tend to be cocky and arrogant in sociology but not really biology. I think I do so cos I can afford to...but not for biology. There are individuals who are better than me in that field.

Masters= $70k... a shared office space with 2-3 other people. Normally masters not asked to lecturer...mostly tutor students.
Phd= at least 120k n up...depend on the subject u specialise in. If ur phd is common, pay is low..if its uncommon...like specialise ones, u get more. -
