Well if any of u guys have an emotional conection with this areas vanishing in the future..dont worry...they will still be there and preserved for many years to come. The Govt may not do anything to it even if he wants to built flats need to evacuate the whole area mah...some more need to pay so much to get the land owned by the terrace dwellers. It is just impossible..This may be the heritage areas to preserve Singapore history..And the closes we can get to the relaxed cosy life in other countries
The cineplex at Hougang Plaza was under Shaw.Originally posted by Mao x 2:Used to have a GV cinema at hougang plaza many years back.
Now convert into entertainment centre. eg. K-box, Lan Games, Billiard, Pool.
The nearest cinemas will be at Bishan Junction 8 or Jubilee at AMK.

There was another cinema along Tampines Rd called Zenith Theatre, now is Wing Tai Building/Warehouse.
I don't know whether it's the condo or the building beside it which replaced Zenith theatre.Originally posted by Camellias4me:Hougang Plaza 1 was a flop. Zenith! Yeah.. i remember dat 1!
