  Buffet about 40-50 can liao. Depending on location though. If at home - 30 also can. If in hotel, then adjust higher. Giving $80 unless you are really close with the wedding couple.

  Yeah. For them, $5 is alot but they are now smarter. They like to invite chinese cause we usually give $10-20 and they ear a lot loh. Their is cater style at void deck. Not very expensive mah

  Depends on 2 things: the person getting married and the meal.
  
  If it's buffet style, get a rough idea of the cost of each table.
  
  Then if its a close friend, i usually mark up 20-30%.
  
  If it's a so-so friend, then just give the cost of the Meal.
  
  Sorry man..i'm on a budget these days.

  i go malaysia and my relatives all give MY$300 - 500 one... and some weddings they will read the money you give when the dinner end.... so everyone no choice pay alot..
