As i said earlier, NKF is just trying to capture different market segments to donate. Those ppl, who feels for the patients, will donate no matter wat. But for those who doesn't feel for them, the way to appeal to these ppl, is to make them treat the donation as a lottery...
In fact, there's another market segment, and that's the fans.. that's why nkf spends a lot of $$ to bring in overseas singers like 5566, Energy, the old Canto and taiwanese stars.. Do u think these artiste will travel all the way here to perform for free? But the youngsters and the old folks are spending big $$ to support their idols with their donations.
it sounds twisted to link charity with gambling.. but IMO, as long as they are getting more donations, whatever method they used will be justified.
