taking IT now..was quite an IT whiz in sec sch, so became arrogant and slack ma..sian now realised may not to well for term test...and poly is not slack at all!!!

ok... from wat i see, my poly classmates are so damn hardworking... organising study group and studying even on saturday... on other hand, i was busy skipping lectures and copied others tutorial answer...
so it's up to individual who feels that whether they wan to slack or not..
i hope none of u are my classmate coz i personally feel that they are working too hard..

The first 6 months of poly will be unbearable as u still getting used to the system. It was the same case for me when i was in poly many years ago.Felt like giving up after the fir 2 months. But i realised that it just takes time to get used to the life and u will be fine. -

currently in my third yr now but it seems so much more relax than my yr 1 and 2 -
The same everywhere else. Just a matter of getting used to. The 2nd semester u will be more Lao Jioa and know the all loopholes or lobang of the system!
Then u will know when to slack and when not to. -
If you are aiming for Uni of course you can't afford to slack.

actually to me, i feel tat the most important thing is paying attention during tutorials..
if u understand wat the teacher says during tutorials, u shouldnt hav a prob liao...only wen tests or exams coming den take out ur book and revise a bit can liao -

If u are clever enough to enter poly, i think u are still clever to stay there for 3 years. Dont worry dude. The majority of dropouts in Poly seem to be the barely manage to go thru O levels results who entered. But there are some who can study happen to dropout due to too much negligence and distractions or lack of financial aid, family problems ect.
Here is a thought to ponder on : if u cant survive poly, how are u going to survive in Army?
Think about this whenver u feel like giving up or not interested in studies. It will help u get thru for 3 years.Personally i feel poly studies are more about strategy, planning on how or what to study than just going thru it blindly. The system is flexible enough for even the stupides of all students lah.
Make sure when the lecturer conducts revision , u better attend as he or she will give u some useful tips.Yeah the clever ones in poly will survive thru these tips actually -
Even in JC, pay close attention to tutorial...
As lecture, lecturer cannot be tacking prob... Unless maybe at some poly where is small group size less than 100 -
relax.. test oli mah. the percentage is nothing. just do tons of pass year papers and you'll be just fine.

I'm so so screwed man..haiz...Poly life seems so so pressured.Its like a pressure pot...Busy to death with my projects and test.Tink I'm gonna buang 2-3 subjects this term test. Anyone has tips for Economics,Management and Marketing?
Before coming to Poly,I always had the perception that Poly life would be fun and can switch off.Boy was I wrong man...though lesson time is short...but really struggle to pass every day.Haiz...hopefully all will become better.
Btw...Am in 1st yr Temasek Poly,Business School.Anyone else in TP? -

cos some tutorial is 8am which i always over sleep!!!!!

Are u sure ? I entered poly in the late 90s. All i can say is its full of bullsh^t slackers who come to school to ogle at gals , play punk, skip classes and play caram or guitar at the canteen. They knew perfectly how to play it well, So long u got the attendance full, it is hard for the lecturer to fail u.I am talking about the 90s poly life were everything slack. I dont know how it is now. -

U idiots dont think too much about studying all the time or else the fear and paranioa of dropping out will eventually ruin u. Let yr mind relax, u will find out that u can concnetrate better
