haha i better dun critic so much lah...if not will kana scolded by ppl one..i think its for u to judge on whether u think sp is good or nt lor..although..i tell u ah..tht time i went to np to enquire abt sth..then the woman there like so what lor...she say that np would come in first overall if not because of the many courses available in sp...aiya the way she say is like''talking big'' lor...nvm

IMO u made a wrong choice, u should have at least completed yr dip for the sake of the money u paid. There are people with dip but dont know what they have studied but at least they have a cert.Originally posted by shinta:working now..

I agree. I don't believe it took you more than two years to realise that what you are doing is not what you want. Those designing the syallabus at Polytechnics have a hard time trying to include as many things as possible, while maintaining the course on par with the times.
Nowadays the industry is not just looking for people who come from the "best" course or A results. They are looking for that extra personal edge. Take it from me, I am a year three student currently on attachment at a Central Bank (did your finance course teach you what is a Central Bank?), and what I have seen is such a corporate environment many others will never have the chance to. -

When I stopped, I already had a plan as to how I'm going to get my degree
BTW, I checked with some unis over in Aus, they dun give credit standing for my dip. even if they do, it's 0.5 years, and... that is if ur results are very good. -

when i look at how.... easy the materials are... compared to the previous structure, and how I'm forced to study things that I can easily do outside my dip, I started thinkin maybe I should quit. and then at this time, there was an urgent need for money at home. my mom lost her job. so i decided then to leave the stupid place
I got a job now, payin me just 100 below my frenz with a dip. and after confirmation, a pay increment will be there. so it ain't really a wrong choice
oh ya, it's not the best course or A results that I'm after, tho I'm capable of it if i set my heart to it.
What the dip teach is so..... shallow, that I definitely learnt more by referrin to textbooks found in libraries. Imagine this, when I look at the course material for the next sem, i was laughin. man this is so much easier than i thought. If i could learn it like this, it's definitely too easy.
