U all have to know this is NOT looking for a singer but rather, a way for mediacorp and telco to earn money using these superstar wannabes and their "fans".
So its not surprising when those with good vocals are voted out. This is wat comes out from competing in a commercial contest
PS: I think Suria channel also got something like Jue Dui Superstar coming out for malays -

Agree. It is just a way to make money while it last. Remember the bubble tea craze a few years ago? A lot of ppl wanting to cash onto the popularity? Likewise this superstar thingy is like the idol concept. A proven money making concept and until today I think it is working. Until the next idea come along, we will wait and see how it makes money -
just dont be the one silly enough to call in and indirectly support their ploy.
