Haven't we ask enough questions? But are the questions answered truthfully?Originally posted by Xprobe:our institutions take us for granted, so why continue to give blind trust and credit to them? start asking questions singaporeans!

ya lor chaocheebai until now they still use the patients as shields. knnOriginally posted by av98m:The kidney patients will NOT suffer any more than they already are if we stop donating for the next 10 or 20 years because:
1. NKF's reserves can last that long in a worst case scenario
2. Most people who apply for subsidies get rejected anyway, under their current criteria. You have to be near destitute to qualify for their subsidies.
Don't get taken in any more by the lies. By stopping donations we are NOT making kidney patients suffer.
About 10 more hrs to the biggest show in Singapore. Can't wait to hear what Cao Qi Tai will say!Originally posted by crazy monkey:ya lor chaocheebai until now they still use the patients as shields. knn![]()

I think he will focus on how the kidney patients' plight. That part is true and he can still say that with emotion. I think he will avoid mentioning NKF at all.Originally posted by prelude95:If i were him, i would be feeling "cheated" at the same time "disguised".
During the show, he has always been very expressive on telling the audience that NKF need our support blah blah blah with such feeling that it really touch our heart. However, NOW knowing the truth, i really wonder will he still be able to say it with the same feeling?
Having say that, i must admit that he is a very good host in the show. it would be a dilemma i guess for him too.

I don't think I (and Singaporeans at large) can still accept tears from a crocodile putting together a performance to hoodwink the public to part their hard-earned money to fund the charity's extravagant lifestyle and generous pay packet. Why still continue to cry for more when they have $262million?Originally posted by Cindyfeh:I think he will focus on how the kidney patients' plight. Its already happening.. Seems to me CNA is trying to help salvage the suituation for NKF.Originally posted by laurence82:btw, just saw Channel 8 news, its very minimal on the issue of NKF
hope mediacorp dont backstab SPH by only reporting good points on NKF
I think the news yesterday is the furthest SPH will go for the "Peanuts" remark. No matter how big SPH is, when its against the government, it is egg vs boulder. Sure lose.Originally posted by CoolMyth:Just read the ST today.....shucks, cover a lot on the NKF tap and salary, but didn't cover the "peanut" statement.....maybe tomorrow.....maybe not.
