I have finally cracked thee CODE - why NKF claimed that their reserved can last for only 3 years.!!!
This is purely mathematic and statistic. Please don't sue me!!
The math goes like this
NKF reserves = $250 mil ( I round to nearest 50)
no. of patient = 2000
cost per patient per month = $400
no. of NKF staff = 900 ( no bad => 2 patient to 1 staff, wonder why so many staffs)
salary of staff = $4000 (ave. maybe higher if based on CEO's pay record)
Cost per year = (900 x $4000 x 12) + (2000 x $400 x 12) + $10 mil/yr(education)
= 43.2mil + 9.6mil +10mil = 62.8mil
salary+bonus+perksCEO + BOD = 2.2mil (just to round up)
Total cost = $65mil
therefore no of years to substain = 3.8 yrs
of course I have not taken into consideration of rental of premises and others misc.
So what NKF said that they can last for 3 years is about right!!! -

Mr Khaw, who had spoken in support of the NKF when it maintained that three years was how long its reserves would last, had this advice for the NKF yesterday: 'If there was bad judgment, then acknowledge it and move on.'
I will keep this article, laminate it and show it to my boss when I make a mistake in my job. -
