Well, at the beginning of the week I guess our friend Durai didn't expect it to turn out this way. I guess he expect to win a full victory over SPH and continue his everyday life as normal with his chauffeured Mercedes taking him to office with its own personal bathroom.
Guess he didn't forsee this would happen instead within 72 hours:
1). He would have to drop the case against SPH.
2). A huge can of worms would be opened in public court.
3). A massive public backlash would result against him and his board of directors.
4). Vandals would strike their premises in a fit of outrage.
5). Thousands of ordinary Singaporeans would cancel their donations and sign a petition to have him removed.
6). He would have to step down.
Goes to show how severe Murphy's Law can really be.
Anyway, what the Senior Minister State of Health Balaji said was correct... the public are the moral owners of the NKF for it is only with the charity of Singaporeans that NKF even existed to begin with. He may have a right to his privacy, but we have a right to know where our money is being spent.
Enough said... I believe I am flogging a dead horse by continually tossing in my $0.02 on this issue. It would be far better if those two cents of mine be put inside a donation box of some worthy charity.
Except the NKF, of course. My trust in them has been too badly shattered to be repaired. -
