Like what? Mrs Goh says Durai's salary is peanuts. If he was the CEO of a for-profit company, that is really peanuts, and even if he earned some 1 million bucks I wouldn't have any say. But he is in charge of a CHARITY ORGANISATION. $600,000 is a large pack of peanuts. Donated by we Singaporeans. I remember last year when my school gave all of us one NKF life-saver's card each, and i went from door to door asking for donations. Right now I feel like a fool. Damn.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who's in the US, has also commented on the NKF controversy.

Mr Lee said he did not rule out a public inquiry although at this time the priority is to appoint new board members and a CEO.
Mr Lee said he understands why many Singaporeans are so upset because they have made donations in one way or another to NKF.
He acknowledged that it will take time for NKF to rebuild trust with the public.
Mr Lee also said several MPs and ministers would discuss the matter when parliament sits on Monday and Tuesday. -

Looking at the financial accounts of NKF it is not difficult to come to the conclusion that either the mangement or the junior staff are very well paid. At $27 million yearly wage bill, divided by 900 staff, each one gets something like $20k a month. This is not possible. So if you work backwards, assuming each staff gets a decent $2k a month, and a 80% junior staff level, you still have $10 million attributed to the management.

Yeah! they totaly did nothing as the NKF directors ran away with all our donations. Is our hard earn money that they are taking, remember how we slog for our work , the endless nites we worry whether we had a roof over our heads, for our children furture in school.
Wonder why the gov need to worry ? cos we still need to pay Gst rite?

seriously, me think this saga have dragged on long enff, seriously who reading this honestly believe the MIW will do anything abt it??? no1 brothers abt u all miserable lowly paid lifeforms (including me) .... it abt the rich and the super rich, so get on wif ur life. poor souls are meant to be bullied.... if u need proof, those deframation suits make against that two guys who claim they saw durians being flown first class and that poor auntie who suffer the full force of the peanut gang when she make that baseless email claiming the pay of certain CEO earning at least 100k... well in a way the peanut gang is rite, the email is basless and untrue, coz their CEO does not earn 100k, he earn 600k.
at least, one good thing came out of it, kids are more willing to be volunteers ^_^ -
