why sch don allow ankle socks?

  I dunno what's so exciting about ankle socks. it's so ugly!
  
  Look at other countries, please. What's in vogue is almost-knee-length socks/stockings (soccer socks length) which is paired up with a pair of trainers/sport shoes. e.g. taiwan.
  
  In Japan, it's the same almost-knee-length stockings but with loafers/heels.
  
  Coupled with short-skirts, one would look like the characters in japan comics.
