I have noticed that even in mature housing estate like Toa Payoh, Ang mo kio and bedok, very few house holds are hanging flags. These areas have a higher percentage of senoir citizens and I thought that they would be more patriotic when they had struggled it through together with the nation. From the percentage of flag hangers there, I think their patriotism level is just as low as youngsters.

Why are so few flags hung out in landed estates and condominiums?
That was the title of the article that a Mr. Seah wrote in page 32 of Today.

the sad truth is that most of them are just plain lazy, bo chup, can't be bother and self centred. they won't do something that won't benefit themselves or get something back in return. unless they are being forced in doing it. typical singaporean attitude.

Our government should not has the restriction on when the flags are allowed to be displayed. Malaysia government allows its citizens to fly its national flag and state flags all time round the year (as from what I have seen in Malaysia).

there's just too many regulations n etc for us to follow. and since i move around so much.. to have a flag in my possession is rather ....... since i might misplace it.
if the government removes some of those idiotic regulations, i might consider hanging the flag
