What's uglier in all this, is the politician(s)' decision to make public TT.Durai's daughter's letter. It's too ugly. Very. Trying to garner some sympathy by exposing the personal family matter of TT.Durai, moving him closer to the public and more sympathetic, using her daughter and her plight.
Please. Stop it. No.
I recall the 'advice' for Straits Time not to put a 'spin' and get cocky. Perhaps this advice of not putting spins should be applied to urself first.
Especially when it involves manipulating an unwilling and innocent 18-year-old daughter who wrote on her personal family plight about her dad.
Many people have condemned the daughter too now. She's now a 'victim' of ur political move, a pawn. Wow. This is great, huh? Could u get any uglier?
Guys, please stop condemning the daughter. What she did was natural, in fact I would be proud if I have a daughter like that. What is 'un-natural' and totally ugly, is the politician for 'using' this letter. Can't u guys see what's happening? -

It might actually be true that his peanuts wasn't spent at all on his family... what if he spent it on mistresses in the absence of his family's knowledge? For all we know, the limo Durai might have purchased, which was from public funds, may not have been used to send his daughter to school. She might be really innocent, though I don't gather the same for the govt; trying to bend her letter to their own cruel ends.
But have some mercy on the daughter at least...

There is a saying “a leader should not demand respect, but earn respect through their deeds”. And if we talk about reputation, isn’t this a perception that one derived from observation of the subject person’s actions and behaviour? So, instead of seeking someone from high office to cleanse the “sin”, I thought the rational approach is for her to advise her father to continue with the fight in court so that he could vindicate himself from any wrongdoing and this would certainly be the most effectively way to restore his reputation.
So, I am just curious what is it that Ms Durai wants from PM to restore his fatherÂ’s reputation.
What could PM do?
** Reinstate TT Durai as CEO of NKF?
** Make a ministerial statement that investigation showed no wrongdoing, and the parliament hereby restore the reputation of TT Durai. Therefore, with immediate effect all Singaporeans are gazetted from any talk on this issue.
** Make a ministerial statement that the $600K is not excessive and in line with market norm [support this assessment with statistics]? -
I wonder if T T Durai dares to step out to public places like Chinatown, Geylang Serai, Jalan Bukit Merah, Toa Payoh etc.

Sick of this whole issue. It just highlights to me how brainless Singaporeans can be.
Our own ministers brainwashed you into believing that their million dollar salaries are ok and everyone nods, "yes, yes, yes". Then act so angry about this whole Durai issue.
He got too greedy, but where do you think he got his inspiration from?
Everyone is complaining that they gave to charity, not for his pockets. But there you have a choice to give or not to give.
You pay all sorts of taxes that you have no choice but to pay... Ever see what's on your income tax form? It says, "Thank you for helping to build the nation". Does it say, "Thank you for paying for our multi-million dollar salaries, huge houses and cars. Signed the MIW." ?
Your own lives so miserable, no job security, cost of everything from transport, to food, utilites, rent, every freaking thing going up while your pay is surpressed. Those MIW who think they are so great but can't do anything other than find imaginative ways to increase taxes, ERP gantrys, and their own pay, siphones millions from our reserves. Yet, THAT'S OK!!!
