Now, flag days are available on Wednesday and Saturday. With the NKF saga and so many flag days causing charity fatigue, it's no wonder everyone is siaming them....
But nowadays, I see those kids doing flag day, most just stand there waiting for money to drop from the sky. Those are the stupid ones. The clever ones all go Mac, BK, KFC eat and stay there till time's up.
I did flag day only once. Remembered the inital awkwardness, but just toughen my skin and keep approaching every uncle, auntie, gin na, couples, chio bu, chao ah beng to donate......talk until my saliva dry up. -

I just don't get it. WHY abuse the student volunteers (now thats an oxymoron for you) who are obviously forced into it by their schools? They're on their feet all day on a weekend, which is bad enough. Just walk away if you do not wish to donate. This reminds me of the NKF customer service staff who got heaped abuse by many singaporeans during the recent fiasco. These are all innocent parties who have nothing to do with the money embezzling boards!
Go after the right people for goodness sake and don't behave like a street mob. -

ok. i somewhere serangoon last weekend. stop my car at traffic light.
saw 2-3 student running about to ask for flag donate but for full red light,no one even stop for a cent into the can.
very sad to see this screen
but understand the public from doing this.
because after NKF issue, i also can't make myself to put a penny into the can. -

these student should know it better than to work like dogs for these organisation.
the teachers and principal also should know not to exploit students to please committee members or big shots they know.
all fund raising activities by students should stop.
if organisation need helps, the students should got to the homes and help out. this is even more meaningful.
these organisation and schools have exploited students in singapore for many number of years.
in fatc the principal must be the one in the streets leader the pack. as least if public not happy, principal answer first. -

Those are sales personnel....they sell "donation tickets". im a baptised christian but i haven't been to church for yrs. and my love to know more about god has not ceased. but i just dont want to go church. now i know why the church ppl always insist christians must go church... so it's for the donations...
