  I always think that it is character building and to let the students hv a feel of being rejected. So skool & students pls carry on the good work. Don't let a few rotten apples deprive you of being charity minded and character building

  There are alot of ways to attain CIP points... some students can even manage to hit a few hundred by going out on their own to do charitable work or anything of the sorts.

  erm tell me cip points can do what to earn? in the end they are forced right? anyway i remember last time it was forced one as in every one had to do not sure abotu now though

  yes for CIP it's still forced...

  its forced on those who do not want to/not so inclined without the cip, not those that insist on not doing, anyway reading the other posts it seems its not just 6 hours now.

  The students have no choice but to do flag day to get CIP points.
  Most of the times, they are not even aware which charity they are helping out.
  Maybe it is time to stop practice of making students sell flags.
  
  They can go & clean the beach (make them learn not to litter), visit old folks homes (interact with the elderly), spend time at school for special needs children etc.

  appeal to the public: dont take it out on the students..not their fault things are turning out in this way
  
  for the students:if you are scared of public backlash you can just convert ur $$ into 10 cent 20 cent coins then wait at home and go back and give your tin can when your 6 hrs of community service is up

  i think the charitable organizations must b transparent. they shd publish & let every1 know their pay scale from cleaner 2 CEO. It shd b on a yearly basis & $$$ spent & generated from donations need 2 b shown clearly 2. they shd also let the public elect a few members from the public as board members 2 oversee this & not jus choose some gerald guy tat i personally do not know much of. wat do the bros & sis' think?

  Why should the students spend money? If the student is in the modd of being charitable, he would sincerely use his time to canvass for donations. But if the student is not, He should be putting in paper clips inside the tin cans and rebel against the idiots who made them do CIP.
