women, does job really matter?

I refer to the article today in the sunday times abt women wanting men with "proper" jobs. No rag n bone man, no garbage collectors.. etc.. what say u? would you really bother about his job?
From my point of view, I do care. I am materailistic and I admit it. It the fella doesn't make a minimun four figure sum, I will think twice about seriously spending my life with him. By then again, I have to set the example but making that much money so that we can bother support each other.
so women out there, does job really matter? -

Its human to want to be respected or looked up to.. if some girls prefer to be know as a doctor's wife and not a karang guni wife then thats their preference..
The main concern here is this: Is position/money the ONLY MAIN factor? Or it overides other concerns like looks, personality, love and compatibility? -
yeah i do agree with you. i guess the money/position would equate to a persons mentality. I believe a karang guni would behave and think totally differently than a doctor. besides, it's not really the status of a man that matters that much. it's whether or not i find him capable of feeding a family. and seriously, i really don't need much. as long as he can prove to be responsible to his family, able to sustain a job for life, then i don't see what else is the problem...

A job's just a title. There are plumbers and artisans in GB who earn plenty of money (because no one else wants to do their work, yet their services are in demand), and people can always move on or upwards; they don't have to stay in the same position or line of work.
If a woman shuns a man because of his job, she'll neevr know how much he has to offer in other ways, and it's her loss. -

I think it's the problem of "status".
With "status", the common perception is that wealth will come naturally with it.
But, without "status", it's not a guarantee that the man will be able to contribute to the family's living. -
