There are lots of Chinese churches that are sticklers to the chinese tradition. My own church have a deeply traditional Chinese pastor and we celebrate moon cake festivals, and other chinese festivals. Every CNY, you'd see plenty of "tui lian" all over the church. Generally, chinese-turned-whiteskinned christians are not as many as we think there are, although they are the most visible ones because they are also typically more affluent. I need to emphasize that they are not the majority.
Right this moment, my wife is playing a CD with pipa music "Ti Nu Hua".
Next is Jiang Jun Ling, otherwise called the theme from Wong Fei Hung. -
aiyah...it's a fact that Christians are the most intolerant lot towards other religions...
Which is precisely why the anti-Christian backlash here....I'm also sick of some of their antics...

I am referring to people - all people and all religions - who forget their roots. The reference prior to my reply was Chinese-turned-Christians, my contention is Chinese-turned-Yuppie who embrace a new almost non-Chinese lifestyle..... so whatever change that one makes is not solely confined to one's religion.

i'm a protestant youth....and i respect the religion and festivals of others (just ask my friends)....so is it correct to say that Christians (use in the sense that u mean all of them) say that HGF sucks?

Well, I shouldn't be lamenting so much but at times my Protestant friends commenting about Roman Catholics which make me so hurt. Their culture may be difference from us, be it catholics, christian, Buddhism or taoism but we have to show respect to any of the religions.

I dont understand one thing.
I dont like this thread because its in a way a flame bait. Topic starter have directed the attention to a specific group of Christians who have rather intolerable attitude as agreed by fellow Christians. And then there are good comments on some people not burning their paper money in designated bins and stuff.
But why is there this total Christians bashing by others, as well as Christians, who instead of focusing on those bashers, chose to bash Taoism and other faiths? Heck, we dont even know the faiths of these guys.
I think you guys (both sides) have let the sun go down on your temper, till i see quite a lot of unjustified comments. -

Aiya everyone will go to hell when they die lah. Who has never sinned in their lifetimes? I think everyone will have sinned during their lifetimes, maybe just that they didn't know it.
