Hi, anyone knows the job scope and how much u get paid for the job? Is it easy to get into it as a career?..care to give me the inside scope?..thx as i'm rather interested in applying for it.

Whether it's easy to get anot, it depends on ur talents. U need to look presentable n talk in a certain way, serve customers, etc. So u need to look good and also willing to serve people. Some people look good, but don't like serving. Some are willing to serve, but are not actually presentable. Or at least, not what SIA wants. -
So whats the pay for an air steward like?...should be higher than gals right?...and do they pay according to level od education?..say like degree?

The basic pay is low, its the travelling allowances that push it up. If I'm not wrong, the basic don't go beyond 1.5K. The allowances are allocated according to the places you fly to. Say for example, europe, you get big allowances, but you won't be flying there more than once a month. So you can dream on. -
One more thing, you don't need a degree to say please, thank you, nor pour tea. There's a reason why the minimal qualifications start quite low. Having a degree don't entitle you to a degree pay all the time.

need to be above 1.65m in height.
wear specs can, but not too deep... meaning not too thick...
pay + allowance around S$3500
if you hardworking, and in there for 10 years on... u can fetch a dam high pay cheque. My fren's hubby in there serve the first class pessengers... which the low level stewards will oni see that after 10 years...
First class, got people like "owner" of singapore... and "owners" of other countries.

yes 3.5 k ard there...
depends on places u fly too... the further u fly ... the more often u fly... the longer ur duration of ur stay overseas... will affect ur flying allowance.
u need to go for 4 mths training... during training... the pay is super low i heard... mite not even hit 1k.
guys with specs i think u need to put on contacts.
the recruitment for stewards is much lesser den the stewardess cos the ratio of male and female cabin crew is not the same on flights... more female of cos..
SIA have already increased their educational requirement to diploma and a level.. nothing below that.
I heard lots of uni grad sign for steward... competition mite just be fierce... the selection will also be strict.
However firstly i think should u ask urself if u are a service orientated person. Or u are just signing cos u can get to travel here and there "for free".
