Aiyah. 1st class or 3rd class doesn't matter lah. After a couple of years working, who cares whether you 1st class or no class. It's the job performance that counts.Originally posted by hisoka:dun make me sad leh i trying so hard to get first class but it looks very far away![]()
...also no matter 1st class or last class, good or bad performance...etc, it all boils down to destiny.Originally posted by waitrose:Aiyah. 1st class or 3rd class doesn't matter lah. After a couple of years working, who cares whether you 1st class or no class. It's the job performance that counts.
But the initial salary is affected is it not? But I heard from a first class honors recepient that a lot of it if not the MAJOR factor is luck!?Originally posted by waitrose:Aiyah. 1st class or 3rd class doesn't matter lah. hmm your 1st Class Honours need to be 90 and above right ?Originally posted by TehJarVu:in australia, if you get 1st class honours, you can go straight to PhD, if not need to get masters first.
Not quite. First class is preferable, but technically a second-upper also qualifies you to apply. Whether you get selected with a second upper is another matter altogether.Originally posted by TehJarVu:in australia, if you get 1st class honours, you can go straight to PhD, if not need to get masters first.
Depends on which uni you come from - some universities set it at 85, while others set it at 80. You'll also need to take into consideration that marks are assigned on a curve, though.Originally posted by one-niner:hmm your 1st Class Honours need to be 90 and above right ?
Yes there is, during my time in NTU 6 years ago. It's 1st class, 2nd upper, 2nd lower, 3rd class, pass with merit and pass. Most ppl will get 2nd lower.Originally posted by JackOT:Is there a 3rd Class honour? Sorry, I really don't know. Only heard of 1st, 2nd upper and lower.
